Veteran Iron Works LLC was established in October 2024 with a mission to provide top-tier welding services across the New York Metropolitan area. We specialize in both infrastructure and commercial welding projects, and are committed to enhancing the structural integrity and aesthetic of the urban landscape.
Veteran-Owned & Operated: As a company driven by veterans, we bring a unique blend of discipline, dedication, and innovation to the industry. We are currently in the process of obtaining Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business (SDVOB) certification, which will further underscore our commitment to excellence and service. This certification will also allow us to partner with prime contractors who value the contributions of veteran-owned businesses.
Team Leader
Guy Luerssen served fourteen years in the U.S. Army. His military service was from May 2005 to August 2019 where he served active duty with the 10th Mountain Division 2-87 Infantry.
While active, Guy served two tours in Afghanistan in 2006-07 and 2008-09. He left active duty and enlisted in the New Jersey National Guard, serving one year with that unit in Bahrain in 2015-16. His rank upon leaving was Staff Sergeant (E-6).
He received the Combat Infantryman’s Badge, Airborne, Air Assault, Good Conduct Medals, Army Commendation Medal and other distinguished awards.

Ironworkers Local 361 journeyman Guy Luerssen, 36, says becoming a trade unionist is “probably the best thing that’s ever happened” to him. “It’s given me a pathway to the middle class, helped support my family and live comfortably in New York City,” the military veteran and Long Beach, NY product says.
